4 on the accommodation and front of house service. 1 because of my experience. The hotel felt a bit tired and dated but it was clean and the service on the front desk was good. I had just one issue, really. I left my Samsung phone charger plugged in my room under the TV. I was there at a conference and checked out quite early. Later that morning, I went to the front desk to tell them I had left my phone charger. They were still cleaning rooms and they asked whoever was servicing the room to have a look. No one had checked into that room at that point and yet, I was told they couldn't find it. I don't believe them really. I don't believe they checked and if they did they were not truthful about finding it. I no I definatley left it there and no other guests checked into my room directly after me, as it was still being cleaned and serviced. So I wouldn't return just on this experience alone. What if it had been my wallet or passport? I know I'm responsible for my own things but you have to be able to trust places you stay in.

Not happy with my stay - [ ] No heating in the room - [ ] Called reception 3 times but no answer x 2 and phone cut off on third attempt - [ ] Window left open and so room very cold - [ ] Water pressure on 5th floor was very poor so difficulty having a shower and filling kettle - [ ] Water temperature in sink did not change for a long time after using hot water. - [ ] Hot water is scolding in sink - [ ] Metal L shaped think on the wall and difficult to get a shower without hurting elbow - [ ] On off switch on remote control for tv didn’t work - [ ] No bin in the bedroom - [ ] Bar area type conservatory was cold - [ ] Bar closing time was supposed to be ‘late’ but it closed at 10pm which cut short a social evening - [ ] Bar staff were not very customer focussed and more interested in their own needs - [ ] We were kicked out of the bar at 11pm despite being told by bar staff we could stay there - [ ] Hotel reception area seats looked tired and damaged - [ ] Coffee was cold despite being in a flask jug However the room was clean Overall very poor quality

Had a really lovely stay at pendulum. It is a very basic hotel, but it has its own charm. The breakfast was really delicious, especially the hash browns! For what I was there for, it was an ideal location. Just a short walk to Oxford road, or 15 mins to Piccadilly. Will definitely be staying there again!

Bruno the chef was absolutely wonderful! I have an allergy to garlic but forgot to mention it to the conference organiser. Bruno went out of his way to cook me something special and it was absolutely delicious!! Thank you Bruno for keeping me safe and cooking such a tasty meal
